Day 31 - 2015 - ALMOST

Today's word is:  Almost

Had this word come up a few days ago, I would have said,

"We are almost there; almost at the end of this 31-day challenge!"

As it is, we are at the end of this challenge!

We made it!  We are there!  We are where we wanted to be...finishing with a BANG...

Yet, so many have struggled to get through all 31 days, as I have!  It hasn't been an easy road...

Life is not an easy road for many of us!  Life gets in the way of other things such as our writing...

And, that is OK!  Even if it takes more than the 31 days and we complete our series, we have won!

And, if we don't finish?!  That is OK, too!!  We do what we can; and God will bless that which we have completed...even if we feel it is "in-complete"!

Congratulations to all...wherever you have "ended" this challenge!  You should be proud of what you did!

What next??

Let us know your plans for the next month or two in the comments!  I will...think about it!  Not sure what I will do at this point!

Perhaps...possibly...maybe...just enjoy the holidays!

This is Day 31- the very last day of "31 Days of Free Writes"!  I have persevered and finished this month-long challenge, linking up with Kate Motaung and the Five Minute Friday group.  To read all of my "Free Write" posts in this series, click here.

  1. Congratulations to you as well!!!! I was able to publish everyday minus 3 and I am ok with that. That is huge progress for me as I have adopted the saying "Progress not perfection" for this year!!! You know my plan - to read 5 blog posts a day and to write everyday. Not to hit the publish button everyday on my blog but to actually take time to write every day. Writers write!!! Love your heart sweet sister!!!! God bless!!!

    1. Thank you, Larissa! We finished; and that is what we celebrate! I love the saying you adopted, "Progress not perfection." Some days I press the Publish button and wonder if what I wrote even makes sense. And there are many days when the comments are so low, I wonder the worth of writing. But, I don't write for comments, though they help; I write because, well, I love to write...(and I can get quite wordy!!).

Thanks for reading and commenting...congrats!!! And, happy writing whereever your heart takes you!

  3. Congratulations! This is the first time that I have actually published a post everyday as planned and I don't even feel burnt out. In fact I wrote and scheduled a post for the 1st to link up to Emily Freeman's what I learned in October. My plan is to post at least twice a week with more planning and organising. I am actually going to start hosting a link up called Thankful Thursday as I have loved that part of my series. A big step for me! We will see how go. I am also trying to let go of an outcome focus and continue to write because I love it.

    1. Great, Jo! Isn't it great to accomplish something, come to the end of it, and not feel stressed or burnt out!!?? I didn't feel that stressed, writing with the FMF "Free Writes"; but some days, had so much going on that I started stressing; until I read someone's post about just taking it as it comes. I don't think ALL of the posts were actually done on the exact day; but I did get all of them done!

I like that idea of a Thankful Thursday! I link-up with the Simple Woman's Daybook on Mondays; Tuesday @ Ten on Tuesdays; and hope to get back to Five Minute Fridays on Fridays (and/or Kindness Fridays)...as long as I keep writing; then if something hits me in between these days, I'll write then too!

      Thanks for reading and commenting!
