TODAY...
I forgot your name!
I know it's somewhere...
in the deep dark recesses of my brain.
I see your face...
can picture us together -
somewhere...
walking hand in hand -
in the park?
at the beach?
somewhere!
I hear your voice,
calling my name...
and I smile!
Today...
I forgot your name!
Maybe tomorrow,
I will remember.
Maybe tomorrow,
I will know...
Maybe.

Oh, Barbara.....I feel for you xxxx
ReplyDeleteYou know where this comes from, my friend! And I have just finished the book, Still Alice, that is about a woman in her 50's who is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. I see so many things in her that I am seeing in my husband...the journey with Dementia's Demands seems to be continuing.
