Writing in my journal is what I do when I need to get my thoughts down on paper; and woe to those who may read some of my journals!!! I name names, and share events or issues and situations that happen in my life; and I do so for my own sanity...not necessarily for others to read. So, planning to do a daily Blog for the month of October is really something different for me - although I have shared on Facebook...sometimes more than I should have!!!
My subject for the 31 days will be dealing with a husband who is verbally abusive; he has dementia and hearing and memory loss. He NEEDS me to do certain things for him; and he is NOT getting better...I can see (and his daughter can see) that he is actually getting worse. So, even though my journey is not new - and we've been on the journey for quite a number of years, I have written down my thoughts which I will share with you.
Writing online WILL be different; and I will continue to journal (by hand)...it's what I do!!! I will rely on what I wrote in the past when first dealing with the dementia; but will commit to doing this ALL 31 days, adding new thoughts and ideas to the journey!!!
I hope you will join me on this journey of 31 Days of Dementia's Demands! To learn more about the 31 days blogging challenge, click here and join in on the FUN!

DeleteThank you for choosing such a brave topic. Dementia runs in my family on one side, but I've never studied it very closely. I look forward to reading all your posts - glad I found you through the 31 dayers group. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading and commenting! It's been a hard journey - both that with dementia AND writing about it. I am new at blogging and learning a lot...I know my blog needs some work! And the 31 dayers group is so helpful with advice and encouragement. I try to read others' posts as well - but guess that's what I will be doing in November!
