Day 12 - 2015 - STORM

There have been many times the storms of life have almost over-whelmed me.  And during those storms, one of the things that has helped me is music.

Listen to this Christian favorite, "I Will Praise You in This Storm" by Casting Crown, that has meant a lot to me over the last few years:

Oh yes!

"...every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hands..."

"...and though my heart is torn,
I will praise You in this storm!"

"I will praise You in this storm!"

With all that is going on in this world, we know that He is still in control...

That is such a hard thing to grasp, isn't it?  That...God is in control.  Yet, He is!

But, if He is in control...then why!?  Why is all of this killing and shooting and even the natural disasters...

WHY IS ALL OF THIS HAPPENING?

I am not sure...

And I am not the person who can answer that question!  I pose the question in this post, only because...

Well, because it is one of those questions we all pose at times like these; when there is so much tragedy going on around us and we just don't have the answers.

God tells us:  "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.  For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."  (Isaiah 43:2-3a - New Revised Standard Version)

Whatever tragedies may occur, to us or around us, we know that God is with us!  He will give us what we need for the moments that over-whelm us...comfort, strength, understanding, peace, patience, whatever it is that we  need to face the storms of life...

He is with us and will give us that which is needed to weather the storms of life!

And, whether we are waiting out the storm, or waiting for Him to come through for us...

We may as well...

DANCE IN THE RAIN!

  2. Love the graphic about dancing in the rain instead of waiting for the storm to pass. I am so glad God has promised that, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." Isaiah 43:2.

    1. Yes, Ruthie! I think I first heard it on a CD that was given to me for my birthday years ago...I loved it and it hit at a time when I WAS going through a "storm"; I'd re-wind the song and listen to it over and over again!
