Day 6 - 2015 - POSSIBLE

Is it possible? Am I going to be able to accomplish it?  What will happen if I don't accomplish what I have set out to do?

These, and many more, questions may be asked when we start out to complete a project; or to finish a challenge.

As we begin our "project" or "challenge" ... we may have doubts as to how far we will go before we decide it just isn't right!  Or, we may wonder if what we are doing is a valuable thing for our life at this time...

Hmmm!  Seems as if I may be referring to a particular "challenge" that is into Day 6!!  Actually, I did ask myself these questions as the days grew closer and closer and...the "last minute" was now the night before!

Last year, it was the last minute!  This year, I was thinking about it over a month earlier.  That is the reason I decided to do the Blog-tember challenge: writing on specific prompts for the month of September; and I did accomplish that goal of writing every day - well, every day I planned to write!  One or two days were prompts using technology I did not know how to use (creating a VLOG, for instance).

Accomplishing the Blog-tember challenge prepared me for blogging every day in October.  I was reminded that I do enjoy writing, and connecting with so many other bloggers is just a major benefit of the 31 day challenge.

And, learning of so many other bloggers who were doing the Five Minute Friday "free writes", also helped me to make the decision...

So, yes, it is possible to complete this challenge, and any other challenge that we may be facing!

If we "believe in possibilities", if we have "faith" that God will guide our thoughts and our words...

"...all things are possible..."

Yet, what about that last question that started this post:

What will happen if I don't accomplish what I have set out to do?

I feel that if we put one step in front of the other to attempt the challenge, we have taken the step to do our best.  And, if "life" gets in the way; more important things come up...then we have done our best; we have accomplished what we set out to do before being taken in another direction.  And, if we let God be our guide, nothing is impossible with Him...

Because, only He knows what is along the path ahead of us; and only He knows where we need to be on that path.

So, go ahead and write your heart out!  And share and connect and encourage; because that's what I am going to be doing...for whatever we do accomplish, will be a big accomplishment!

This is Day 6 of "31 Days of Free Writes", linking up with Kate Motaung and the Five Minute Friday group.  Check out all of my "Free Write" posts in this series here.  For more information on the "Write31Days" challenge, click here.

  3. Last year I decided to do 31 Days on Oct 1! I missed a few days. This year I planned, and even wrote some ahead, but I feel myself falling behind. I am going to power through one way or the other lol.

    1. Do what you can, Melissa; and don't let it discourage you to be "behind"...I am ahead, but only because I have a long weekend this coming weekend, and will be at a retreat! And, with the other blog posts I enjoy doing and want to continue, plus the committees and other committments...well, hoping to keep ahead.

And the benefit of scheduling ahead...I can read my post almost as if it were "new" to me!

Thanks for reading and commenting! Keep going, you can do this!!

  4. Even though I'm not participating in 31 days I still love checking in to see what everyone is writing. For me continuing to blog is enough and as my little one's arrival gets closer blogging will likely take a back seat to life as we transition again. Thanks for the encouragement. I continue to set goals and see what I can accomplish. :)

    1. Your hands are full, Amanda! And, whatever time you can find to be with your little one before the baby comes is time well spent! And you will cherishh those times for sure!

Whatever you can write is enough; and reading others' blogs and giving us encouragement is appreciated!!

Best of luck on your little one as that time approaches!

  7. Yes it's possible but there should be no guilt or failure attitude if it is not completed. As you wrote it is enjoyable to write and blog. If it becomes the opposite you can give yourself permission to stop. but you'll be fine.

  10. I'm so glad you started this journey last year and have kept writing. You are right, with God all things are possible. We used to sing a song in worship that shared that message. It is now running through my mind.

    1. Thank you, Teresa! I am also glad I started this journey last year! Writing has given me that outlet to share with others who may (or may not) be going through similar situations; may (or may not) need to hear the words I share...yet, we share and we encourage and we inspire others; and I do hope I do encourage others with my words!

That song...something like "All things are possible"??? I have something similar running through my mind now!!
