Exploring the Ordinary - Prompt 2/21

Ordinary...

Nothing special!  It is just a plain, small bud in the middle of the tree outside my window; the one where I sit to read my morning devotion.

Yet, perhaps not so ordinary:

It is the first bud of the season; as the day goes by, it will be joined by many more, bursting into beautiful color.

Not so ordinary after all!

Ordinary...

Nothing special!  He is just a plain, small babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger in the midst of a stable full of animals.

Yet, perhaps not so ordinary:  a bright star in the sky points the way for shepherds and magi to seek Him; and to fall to their knees, bursting into praise and worship of the new-born King.

Not so ordinary after all!

What other "ordinary" can I find as I look around?  God sends the "ordinary", the "nothing special", the "plain".

Each day I seek the ordinary, led by the "bright star in the sky"; led by the new-born King...

And I am reminded of what He has done for me; for all of us!

Not so ordinary after all!

Blessings every day...

Ordinary, nothing special, plain - Blessings!

Exploring - seeking - the ordinary, we find the not so ordinary...

We uncover the amazing...

The Extra-Ordinary!

    1. Thank you, Amanda! Between trying to get this post finished "on time", and organizing my craft supplies and projects for a retreat next weekend, I have not done much reading; but will be doing some tomorrow as I stay indoors, out of the 100 degree weather!!

Appreciate your reading and leaving your comment...
