Blog-tember Daily - 9-15-15

Another day; another Blog-tember Challenge with Bailey Jean!  So, today we get to "dig through our bags" with our prompt:

What's in your Bag?

Pick up your purse and peruse its contents, then share with us (everyone)!

So, this is the bag I am currently using...a bright orange bag that I won from a giveaway on Peggy's blog - Simple Woman's Daybook.

This bag was made by women who have been given the opportunity to change their lives through a company called "freeset"; find out more information here.  Let me share what is on the tag that came with the bag and you'll see why I am so excited:

"This product is more than just a stitched piece of fabric, it tells a story of freedom.

"For hundreds of women who were trapped in India's sex trade it brings freedom from a life that robbed them of dignity and hope.

"Freeset is in the business of restoring what has been stolen.  Women are given the opportunity to choose a new job and regain control of their lives in a caring community.  Making this product is part of a woman's journey to freedom.  To her friends and neighbors amont the thousands still trapped in prostitution, she is a symbol of hope."

And this is why I love my bright orange bag, and totally support this organization...check out their website above and perhaps you'll find your next favorite bag!

Now, what do I have tucked away in this bag?

Let me pull everything out - it needs to be cleaned out anyway!

Wallet - What's in your wallet?  Not tellin'!

Trash - Please don't litter!

Cough Drops - Cover your mouth, please!

A List of "Title and Word Ideas" for travel-related (scrapbook) pages - Getting ready to do a page swap and need inspiration as I shop for paper and other things.

Finger Nail Clippers - No need to explain.

Tylenol - For those pesky headaches.

"Other Medicine" - For "other" pesky "issues"!

A candy bar and pack of crackers - Just in case I get hungry.

Lotion - Two small tubes; a "healing aloe" and a "calming creme"...hmmmm?

Anti-Bacterial Hand Sanitizer - Let's keep the hands clean!

Tissues - "Bless you"!

Pens - FOUR, to be exact!  Never know...

Key Chain with various rewards cards to scan; and a cute chain and this:  "laugh often, live well, love much"!  What better motto than this?!

{My regular key chain and keys are hanging on the peg by the door!}.

So, that completes what is in my bag; at least, what is in there at this moment!  I couldn't just list out the contents; as a writer...hahaha!...I had to add more!!

And, depending on the day, or what I am doing, many other items could be found inside:  a camera, a small notebook, old bulletins from church, coupons, small toys for the grandkids, maybe even a shell or stones; and if I am carrying my purple, blue, whatever other color bag...it is bigger and there may even be a bottle of water or a Tervis cup inside!

What's in your bag??

  1. Love your orange bag! I know that bag would hold a lot more than what you had in it - you know, just in case you needed to!

    1. Yes, it is true my bag holds way more than what was in it...the thing is, I had just cleaned it out for this past weekend when I carried my larger bag so I could carry a camers...but I ended up leaving the camera at home. And, I just moved what needed to be put into my "regular" bag...we DO end up carrying quite a lot of stuff in our "bags"; and after reading some of the others' posts, they actually carry "bags" rather than "purses" - books, notebooks, planners, journals! WOW! I guess I really could put a notebook/journal in mine; I'm always looking for paper or something to job things down on!!

      Thanks for reading and commenting!
